Bonds on trial

Lately you can't shut Roger Clemens up, he wants to talk to anyone who will listen, but in the Bonds trial, you cannot his ex trainer Greg Anderson to say a word, even with a crowbar.

Now they managed to scare up a jury in one day, which I have to think is nothing short of amazing, since they would have to have had people who lived under a rock for 4 years in order to avoid having someone with no opinion or knowledge of the impending case, or the steriod charges, or reality in general.

I would have loved to be on this jury, but alas they want impartial jurors, Lady Justice is blind, but they need to have some deaf and dumb jurors as well.

Greg now has go back to jail, having refused a Grand Jury , and he continues to obstruct justice, but by his absolute silence, it speaks volumes. If he did nothing wrong, why not testify ? If he injected Bonds with nothing more than flax seed oil, why hide it ?

It is because between Anderson knows the truth not only incriminates himself, but Bonds as well, and he's pretty much painting Barry into a corner, no testimony and the implied guilt is 100 %.
But testify and have to answer all the awkward question, and he wilts worse plants left out in 100 degree heat.

Over the next month, the Government will trot out witness after witness hoping the  body of proof amounts to an unmistaken level of guilt.  Sad to say I do not think they can win this, and Barry will walk out a free man.
He will be exonerated, aquitted and that will at the end of it not prove his innocence one iota.
Bonds will be free and tainted, and will then wait for that call from the HOF, that won't come.....right away.

If McGwire gets in , or his votes start to rise year by year, Bonds can take that as a sign that healing is beginning.  Heck, even Peter Rose might take a McGwire entry in the HOF as positive for his chances. If Big Red can get in, then it means others can follow, all is forgiven.  Barry never admitted doing anything illegal so that will delay his entry.

Barry, shame on you, come clean, and maybe you will get what ypu think you deserve, a place along side your peers.
